Bez obzira kojim se poslom bavite, poznavanje poslovnih idioma na engleskom jeziku može vam pomoći u sporazumijevanju s klijentima.

U poslovnoj komunikaciji često koristimo idiome kako bi se uspješnije izrazili. Važno ih je poznavati, a još važnije znati kako i kada ih pravilno upotrijebiti.

Slijedi 20 korisnih idioma koji se koriste u poslovnom svijetu:

1. Game plan – strategija ili plan

“They're not sure what their game plan is for the upcoming election.“

2. Ahead of the pack – bolji ili uspješniji od konkurencije (ostati ispred drugih)

“If we want to stay ahead of the pack, we're going to have to work hard and continue to innovate.“

3. By the book – sve po pravilima (po PS-u)

“ We are regularly audited by several regulatory agencies. It's important that we do everything by the book.“

4. ASAP – čim prije (tim bolje), skraćenica od 'as soon as possible'

“I need to finish these reports. My boss needs them ASAP.“

5. Ground-breaking – novo i inovativno, nešto što nitko do sada nije napravio odnosno izumio, promijeniti nešto iz temelja.

“The iPhone was a ground-breaking piece of technology when it was released in 2008.“

9. Get the ball rolling – započeti nešto (zakotrljati loptu)

“We need to get the ball rolling on this project. The deadline is in June, and it's already April.“

“Construction on the new site is in full swing now.“

11. In full swing – u punom pogonu (u fur gasu, punom parom)
